Users' Registration, Log-on, and Log-out (用户的注册、登录与退出) In order to use the forum, you need to register by clicking the "Registration" icon on the front page. To register, you need to fill in your user name, password and email address. When you forget your password, the system will send your password to the registered email address, therefore, please use the real email. One email address can register for one user name only. Reminder: Please ensure your email has enough space. Doyouhike.net does not recognize email addresses from sina.com.cn and elong.com. Please do not register more than one user name. When the password is forgotten, please allow the system to send you the password. After logging on to the forum, your user name and password will be saved on your computer as encrypted COOKIE. The system can automatically log on when you visit the forum next time. If you do not want to save your password, please use the "Options" in "Personal Preferences" and enable "clear log-on information when closing the window". When using shared computer, we strongly recommend you to "Log Out" when leaving the forum to delete the COOKIE and protect your privacy. In case of failure of log out, please use "Delete all COOKIES" function in IE or other COOKIE management programs. Your computer must be COOKIE-enabled to use this forum. Your computer may be COOKIE-disabled by installing execeleration program, Utlization program, and firewall. Please ask the administrator or experts of IE to open the COOKIE function. Attachment and Posting Limit of Attachment (论坛: 附件与附件上传限额) Users are able to attach one file when posting or replying: 1. Maximum file size of attachment is 200Kb, around 204,800 bits. 2. Every post can have only one attachment. 3. When posting attachments under same topic, e.g: pictures related to one trip, please post the attachments by replying to this topic. Breach topics will be deleted. In order to ensure operation of the server, each user will have certain limit to attachment upload. 1. Each registered user will have 2MB upload capacity weekly, administrator and special users will have more than this. 2. Upload limit will be deducted after each attachment upload. When the size of files exceed current limit, upload will fail. 3. Capacity will reset at 4am in Saturdays and all users upload limit will reset to initial settings. 4. Deleting previous attachments will not increase current upload limit. Please do not mis-operate while uploading. Please do not delete previous attachments in order to increase upload capacity. Please check carefully when uploading potentially virus-affected files. Doyouhike.net reserves the legal right for any consequences caused by loading such files. When downloading the attachment, please pay attention to virus and do NOT download files provided by unfamiliar users. Doyouhike.net does not bear responsibilities other than warning, deletion or cooperation with victim. The copyright of uploaded files remain to the initial authors. Should you discover any pictures or files that are breach of copyrights, please contact the administrator. Do not upload any file that is against the law and regulation, against the social ethnics, or attack to any organization and person. Doyouhike.net does not allow funny pictures irrelated to the topics, and may terminate the user's upload authority if posting actions continue. Do not use multiple user names in order to expand the upload limit. IDs of breach users may be terminated. Users that need to expand the upload limit with special requirement, please send message to Administrator. Upload limit may be expanded to users included but not limited to: 1. Involve with forum construction and need to post attachments temporarily and permanently. 2. Active authors and photographers. 3. Attachments to complement Excellent posts. Few guidelines to user name (用户名相关的几个问题) Change user name: 1.New user name should follow national law and regulations of the forum. 2. Frequent change of user name does not help to build up personal credibility and communication of forum. 3. Request of user name change will be verified by administrator, which is usually 1-2 working days after sumission. 4. A message of notification will be sent after the request is approved/rejected. 5. Names that were used by the user can be viewed in personal information. 6. A list of change records will be available for inquiry in the future. Please contact administrator for any problems occured. After changing user name, all posts will be changed to new user name. However, the password will remain the same. It is suggested not to change user name which has been used for a long time. The forum does not provide deletion of user name, nor should users delete their own posts. The forum opposes frequent changes of user name and expects users protect their user name. Forget password? If you forget your password, you may use "send password" function after filling in your user name in log-on page. The system will automatically send password to the email account stated in you registration. Note: Incorrect email account will not be able to use this function. Please use real email account during registration. Administrator system does not accept email requesting password. If you change your email account, the system will generate a new password to your new email account in order to verify the trueness. Please act carefully. New users that do not log on three days after the registration email was sent will have their user names cleared by the system. Finally, password is sent automatically, not manually. Please do not send email to administrator to request "send password again". If you do not log on within three days, your user name will expire. Setting up user's Personal Preference (用户个人属性的定制) After registering as a member, your personal preference only has user name, password and email address. In order to let more members know about you, you may input some information to Personal Preference. You may also decide the display style of the forum, such as font, tree/flat view, etc. The first half of Personal Preference is easy to understand. If you change email address in the Personal Preference, the system will generate a new password and send to the new email address in order to verify the trueness. Please act carefully. A reminder: Explanation to avatars should be limited to ten characters. For more personal texts, please add to "Personal Signature". The small images called Avatars are displayed below your username on all posts that you make. You may choose Avatars within the images provided by the forum. Users that have posts up to certain amount may upload their own Avatar images. The Avatars should be GIF file not larger than 8KB and 110X110 pixels. Please do not use images that would cause legal problems or others antipathy. "Display option" allows you to personalize your preferred display style, such as font, size, and posts displayed per page. You may also choose the forum not to display the discussion board that you don't like by setting "discussion board options". Please be cautious to use "Email me when my post is replied". If your email account does not accept emails, it will cause unnecessary burden to the network server. Administor will suspend the user name for one day should such problems occur.

Use of Tag (关键字(Tag)的使用) Tag allows easy search of specific contents. The forum is now testing tag of topics. If you see few tags related to one topic, you may check other topics under the same tag. You may add any other tags you feel more suitable to the topic. In order to communicate better, we will optimize the netvigation method by frequency of tag use. Concepts: 1. Tag is set up for the topic, not for replied posts. 2. Each topic can have multiple tags, or no tags. 3. Topics with tags will be searched by tag function. Please use space between multiple tags. Setting guideline: 1. Choice of tags should follow Chinese law and social ethnics. We do not suggest emotional descriptive words. 2. The length of each tag will be limited to 4-12 characters (2-6 Chinese characters). Please do not use symbols in the tags. 3. Registered users can add tags to any topic and tag may be part of index article. 4. The author of topic and the moderator of the discussion board has entire control over the tags of this topic. 5. Please refer to other regulations of the forum for any other uncovered details. Tag does not apply to membership discussion board.
