A Short Stay in HK

Then I know this city is not a better place for me to stay if I am not millionare;  If I was a millionaire. I will not choose to live in HK either.....

We arrive at the left wing of HK Exhibition Centre.  Previously I have ever had two short stays in HK but this city did not impress me much then. I remember that two years ago, I , being lonely, ever viewed from the Taiping Peak,  the city had a lot of dreamy eyes, i.e, the lights of Victory Bay. One year ago, I ever had a talk with one English Couple around the Ben at the opposite beach, i.e, Jiulong Bay. They are a couple who accompany each other over 50years.
That is not bad idea to always start off from this Centre to every directions we want. The taxi driver looks quite polite and educated.   Actually,  I usually regard most of Hongkongese as being polite and averagedly more educated than other cities in Mainland.  They work hard with career-driven minds.
There we go until the hotel is reached.

This hotel is located in Lockhart Road. .Afterwards, I read newspaper in the train towards Canton Fair and got to know there is a lot of  “Transsexualist”(Ren Yao) living around this area.  I wonder if whom I saw are Transsexualists…The women with low collar and high short skirt sit in the street, flirting with their sex partners.  It is quite funny we live in Red-light district.  The hotel costs around HKD1800 per day, taking advantage of the location near to Hongkong Exhibition Centre. Though being tidy and neat, the room space is quite limited. The buildings around are quite old and mottled.

HK Exhibition Centre is  crowded for Electronics Fair is going on with exhibitors coming from Mainland, HK and Taiwan and buyers coming from overseas.  Ftys meet their opportunities and competitors meet rivals.  The service in HK is better than many cities in mainland if we consider the more circumspect guiding provided than Canton Fair.  But the accommodation is not enough to meet so much visitors at the same time.
On the second day of the Fair,  it rains.  People do not want to go far for lunch in order to save time. Nearby, Starbucks is full of visitors from  whose neck a buyer or visitor card is hung. We then go to Delifrance.  The lunch is gotten after a long queue .

On Saturday, it is not very busy in the street, there are more agged people than youngsters.  Exhibitors is more than citizens.  Assumption is about 2--4times higher than Mainland, 1.5times higher than Australia according to my customers.
I see a dog in the street.  Its hostess put a paper on the ground where the dog is shitting.  Hygiene or sanitation  is paid more attention in this city.  Another example is you see no cleaner but the streets are cleaner than many cities in mainland.

It is a humanized city.  The pedestrians can have an easy walk across the green light with vehicle patiently waiting.  There are rings reminding blind man when it is suitable to stop or get across safely.  You can hear the rhymed  rings sounding all over the streets while walking in the streets.

Carnival is undergoing in Lam Kwai Fung. We have Thai Food.  Green Curry Chicken, Malaysia noodles, Thai Spring Rolls,  Tongyangkong Cooked in Coconut Juice and Fish Fry.  The streets are so crowded that I sense at this atmosphere,  all loves might be lost and all distinguish between beautifulness and ugliness might have disappeared .

We walk from Lam Kwai Fung  to Lockhart Road for we are interested in diversity of those skyscrapers. Hong Kong's image is as much defined as restricted by its forests of skyscrapers.  IFC is the tallest building. I take it as landmark for identifying my directions. A building is like a wine barrel with many bottles in it. Those bottles are actually windows. Calum tells me the story of HSBC building.   The building has a lot of "piped ladder" leading from top to the ground so that they could easily transfer the money by slipping them down in case there would be a warfare between China and Britain at the day when China took the sovereign….These overseas guests each take 3cans of cococola in 3hrs’ hiking.   After  they come back , they propose to go to have beers. They drink beers like swallowing water. They are very energetic both in work and entertainment.  I really can not catch up with them sometimes.  Fortunately tomorrow will be a rest day for me.  My colleague and I plan to go to Stanley Market.
The Australian Colleague has just gotten a baby girl.  He catches every chance to call back home in order to listen to her cries and her babyish voice. He is now looking forward to his third child so as to make a family complete and happy.  Today he gotta buy some souvenirs in Standley Market.

The taxi driver drives us along the bays.  He can easily tell which number the chief Executive Mr. Tong  is living at, which villa is belonged to the richest man in HK. They seem to know every details of their superstars’ lives. They tell us which number of villa the 1st and 3rd wives of the king of Gambling in Macao are living in respectively.

Actually, the sightseeing of the Deep Water Bay and Repulse Bay are not so much different from our Meisha Bays in SZ.  The only difference may be most of the cars passing by here are usually luxury classes.  Probably there will be some richest people in the world sitting there, mediating over their business, without paying any attention to the sea view which they often pass by.

The reason why foreigners like to go Standley Market is because the commodities here are comparably cheaper than other places in HK. You can find some arts and crafts or daily utensils coming from other countries.

I am not interested in purchasing those souvenirs for they are mostly made in Mainland and more expensive than SZ.  I sit in Smuggler Inn for a drink. The Audio player is ancient with its  magnetic sound. A lot of different kinds of money signed by the visitors from all over the world are stick in the roof and the walls.  I conjecture that that they will save the boss if one day the Inn went bankruptcy.

We then go to the Central.  The views of daytime are very different from what we saw in Lam Kwai Fung yesterday. Sunday is a big gathering date for Filipino.  The girls dress up and bring their foods to meet their countrymates in HK parks and the first floors of those skyscrapers.  They even sit in the middle of the pedestrian ways.  It seems Sunday  is always their festival.  They enjoy freedom and friendship...

The hills of HK around the train road are well protected.  The houses are usually keeping some reasonable distance from the railway.  But when you arrive in SZ and GZ, the space between houses and railway become narrower. Overcast climate is prevailing in these cities. It is good that My colleague and customers  do not talk with  me for they are also indulging in their missing to their family. The cloudy day reminds me of him again.
It is exactly the same time half year ago that he departed for climbing snow mountain.  It was very cloudy and I kept worrying his departure for a risky climbing.  However I knew it was impossible to stop him。。。
In the train.  I hope I can see him soon. I will cherish both of us this time.  I will tell him that I am not always melancholy.  To be with him is the happiest thing ever happened to me.  But , how, how can I see him again? I am not sure if i can be brave enough to speak it out.  And I am afraid we can not meet again each other if he can not accept the truth.  It seems that he likes to refuse.  I can not force the man to love me for he is free.  The long nights are coming...

Thanks for reminding.  As a matter of fact, he does not miss me as a return.   Otherwise, it will never be too late if a couple love each other bravely and authentically.  You will understand when you read my another article.
Sometimes, love is like an art of cooking,  people shall know how to control  frame, thermoregulation and duration.  Unfortunately, I am not a good and experienced "cooker". Few  are really good "cooker".  That is why in daily life, people farewell to his or her love.  I believe love(I mean mutual love instead of unilateral one)  is a mysterious object endowed by the Nature of Universe.  Few are lucky to get it.   People will never fail if they truely understand the love. smile Yet few understand.

my indea is that to love or not to love is not ,actually, the question, only if he or she has a understandable and placid mind towards it .we all know , but sometimes cannot help defying that instead of living in the fabricated romantically stories world without more daily life problems,we have many and many trivial things except love to deal with . that is ,we live in the  realistic world !
