Regular Night Hiking Activities Initiated by MF

|
MF is the shortening of hiking net of "Do you hike" There are several routine night climbings initiated by MF that lasted for more than one year. Most activities are called on in major cities in Pearl River Delta like Guangzhou and Shenzhen. It's a easy and safe way to participate the local hikings by joining this. Most acitivities have the following charateristics: 1.Start from 7:30 PM of working days so that you don't have to ask for a leave. 2.Hiking place is normally in the near suburb or near downtown, which only takes you around 30-40 minutes or less to arrive to the venue. 3.Has a relative long history and stable players who are always the organizers of the activities. This make sure you will have a safe and experienced team to work with. 4.The players are mainly from local so that helps you know more about the regions around the city. I just try to summarize some of the main routes in Shenzhen and Guangzhou, will warmheartedly welcome you to take part in adding new contents to this message.

Hi 逃之夭夭, I'm interested in those activities you listed. But the post was long time ago and I wonder if there's any update on those activities? Are they still on-going? And if I'm new to Shenzhen which one would you recommend me? I'll stay in Futian area. And if I join alone (I'm a lady) will ppl think I'm strange? I was originating from HK but a bit westernized, though I can speak good mandarin, do you think ppl welcome or they prefer local chinese? Haha, sounds silly question but just wanna be humble when learning the local culture. |

Dear Pris, You are worried unnecessarily and I understand you. Actually all your concerns are not existed. Ppl in Muo Fang are very friendly, also there is always someone old, someone new, some boys and some girls. I believe you will find friends there. Actually I have not attended the activities for some time. But I noticed that they are still on-going because many ppl love them and some of my friends are still active in the activities. You don't need anyone to recommend. Now that you have your ID, you can just go there directly on time and you check with the ppl on the rendezvous. You just introduce yourself to the others. That's OK! When you were there for several times, you will be having friends taking care of you. As I know, this is the common way it goes. Because you stay in Fu Tian, then you should choose the activities in Futian first like Lotus Mountain Climbing and Tang Lang Climbing. If you will be in GZ, I can lead you to Bai Yun Mt. The post for nite hike in Shenzhen can be find in "相约同行“. If you would like to try the WuTong Climbing, which I think is the best of all, I will recommend one of their leaders to you. ---------------------------------------- |

Thanks! After reading your reply I already feel the friendliness of ppl from 磨房. I'll move in Futian district mid of Dec and as you recommend will start with Lotus Hill first.
