When will you hike again? Would like to go.
Frankly and honestly, I'm very disapointed to this board, because I have come to the conclusion that you guys and i have different thinking or focus on different things instead of no foreigner appearing. in other word, I'm not popular here.
Nevertheless,I ask again:"join us?"

Keep asking and you'll be heard. No one is popular here as it's not a popular board, not yet anyways.
It's a good activity but I've been there twice before so I can only support you by words. Sorry.
It is Saturday, have to work, can't join you...
Instead of your "standard plus" activities, I will keep paying more attention to your standard one, especially in summer, because: to be thinner, yellower and darker will make an old girl like me no goodness.
Historian Melvin Kranzberg insists that "man's most abiding quest is the effort to understand himself in relation to the cosmos."
I think he meant human rather than just man. Cosmos is always going to be the human frontier and it is both material and spiritual. It played such an important role in the advance of western science and philosophy. Traditionally, there was a lack of interests on cosmos in Chinese culture, which, to a great extent, contributed to our backwardness in last few hundred years.
Reminds me of this famous quote from Kant, "Two things fill me with constantly increasing admiration and awe— the starry heavens above me and the moral law within me."
oh, I'm a mediocre person(usually call "farmer" in china),poor taste, can't understand what the historian said. I only know that "You may take a horse to the water, but you can't make it drink. "

we have different thinking, I can't keep asking
haha, yes, herd-horses-man is one kind of farmer,

but, unfortunatelly, I don't belong to that kind
