Hiking in Canada

Here in Canada the outdoor hiking group is more formly.

If u want to join the team to hiking, u need to sign a waiver document(real paper) to show the resposibility for yourself, and if there's any accident happend to u, there's no responsible for the coordinator. I think this a good idea that MF can take it.

a waiver document?

For outdoor sport, Canada is a developed country.
China is a developing country. :)

If you know the difference, please quote the Clause of the law describing the issue.

In developed country, bear being a plaintiff, has a right to start a lawsuit regarding to the hikers taking pictures of their track without their permission. :D
In developing country, the lawsuit agaist mankind's killing a bear and then taking its claws is turned down, out of consideration for humanism.:(

haha, in CA, If we go camping in forest, we gotta hang all our food on the tree before going to sleep...otherwise,,bear may comes and attacks us !!!

I love seeing wild animals in the forest...

:) That is interesting. Then people have to carry a lot of foods to feed hungry bear.
I will love seeing wild animals in African Plain one day. "Out of Africa", though is not an outdoor film, impressed me much.

Yeah, at my hometown.:D I grew up by feeding on boars which at that time were very prolific and did great harm to crops. I wonder why I am still so thin and weak. :I He~~, do not blame us as some chinese at that time were reallly poor and they have no resources of meat and they need protect crops from boars...

That is good idea to raise Gorillas at Mefou~. Fancied that I myself will turn out to be a "Lady Gorilla". Imagine that, live so closely with Gorillas, by hearing their beating their breast to express their bravery or love ,and whistling along the forest.

Do not worry. Madame. You will also become a "Gorilla Beauty".:D

wow

where's your home town ???

I met someone raised gorillaz in Mefou for 3 months when I was travel, I'm sure that was fun..

the most impotant thing is you can being with animals that have been hurt by human.

and you'll be ashamed of it when they started to trust human again.

It is a poor hill town located in the south of China. Sometimes, I just think it is also not bad to be born in small place. Big cities such as SH, BJ, GZ, SZ, do not make sb. feel like a hometown for most citizens are immigrated and new people come and old people go everyday.
You are welcomed to be my poor hometown one day. We may go to have a "cat hide" to wait for boars to turn up at mid-night. You may see their sharp teeth shining in darkness. :D

wow.....you scared me.... But you're lucky you know..

I don't like big city neither...

cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Seoul, HK.. are freaking huge....They piss me off sometimes.. You travel from one area to another area in the same city probably takes hours !!! Jesus... And in city it's all about money !! I can barely see people to smile...

well...Living in city is convenient.. but it's just not for me...

Not so lucky yet. I am still trying best to look for my second hometown. The a.m. hometown belongs to the past. I can only be a guest there now. Sad, isn’t it? For quite a long time, I have forgotten the taste of a smile, a true smile springing up from heart. :(
Silly minds think the same. Hehe… I do think sometimes animals trust mankind more than people trust each other. Unfortunately we are in the society and still need take a life term to learn to trust and love the people who can love you in return.
We really have been hurt by trusting others, but we have no choice if we choose to live on. :P

I'm here in Namhae, Korea... It's a really love island... people living here with simple live style and the most important thing is......Korean are SUPER nice !!!!!!!!!!!! Even they don't know too much english, they also try to communicate with you...talk to you....and the smiles....oh my God....

if you are looking for true smiles...you should come here....

and have you been to Nepal ??? If you're going to go there....you should go for a hiking or treking.....I bet you'll never forget the smiles from the kids living there.....

I don't know why...It's really hard to find people smile truely in cities of China...... not kidding..

Nice korean city. It seems you write good chinese too. :D
Probably I will go to Korea next year or next next year to seek for true smiles:P

I have been Nepal last year. Ever took some pic. as belows:
http://www.doyouhike.net/forum/160944,0,0,1.html

Nepal kids have passionate smiles which sometimes made me headachy. Usually, poorer countries will show more hospitality to more advanced countries. In some rural of China, you will find out the true smiles. That depends on how you travel. When you open your heart and smile,kind-hearted people will smile in return.

As I live in crowded city, I prefer to laugh loudly or smile sillily to scare people away and protect myself, ha..he..:D

To be honest, I seldom login MSN. I already lost several friends by lazy contact in MSN. Usually visit this thread more than chatting online. There is no time frame to restrict us to visit a fixed thread. Hope I still can see you here while I am going to Korea or you are going to my hometown. Have you ever used the tool of “悄悄话” here? I almost take it as emailbox to keep my friends contacted and discuss itinerary. ;)

It depends on which city you are gonna travel to.
I stayed a while in Calgary AB, so that city's outdoor club is:
http://www.calgaryoutdoorclub.com/

For Toronto, it's:
http://www.torontooutdoorclub.com/

Thanks. I tried to visit them but it seems they are pretty loose organization, even no pp sharing. It's hard for me to decide to spend time with them or not. Any other recommendation?

As I know the software of the website is the same, you need to join and go out with them at least twice, then you would find more functions that they provided.
If you just as a guest to visit, you couldn't get more information like photos and forum. There's some requirements to get more functions.
