一名日本潜水人在月初往布泰国吉外岛Racha Yai 潜水失踪. 搜寻后被发现被困石头之间,送院后证实死亡. 初步显示该名潜水人和其它潜水人失散, 因石头之间用尽气樽空气因而缺氧而死. (Phuket Gazette 报道如下).
KOH RACHA YAI: Japanese tourist Akira Egoshi, 24, died while diving in Siam Bay, off Koh Racha Yai, on March 1.
Pol Lt Col Chana Sutthimas of the Chalong Police told the Gazette that 11 Japanese tourists, led by four dive masters from Kata Diving Co Ltd, left Chalong Pier aboard Laddawan 5 at 8:20 am, bound for Koh Racha Yai.
“The crew of Laddawan 5 called in about 4 pm to report that a diver was missing,” he said. “At that time, their divers were still looking for him.”
He said that it seemed Mr Egoshi swam away from the other divers and became snagged on a rock. Unable to free himself, he ran out of oxygen.
Marine Police launched a search for Mr Egoshi, Col Chana said. “His body was taken to Vachira Phuket Hospital, where it was identified. We are continuing our investigation into the incident,” he added.
The Gazette made repeated attempts to contact senior management at Kata Dive Co Ltd but without success.

布吉5月是旺季尾,但5月头好像也是日本人假期,也挺旺. 道岛不太清楚,相信也差不了多少.
很多潜水人都忽视这个制度---潜伴制度(dive buddy system)结果造成了无可挽回的亊故。。。
多年前，有班在香港纪律部队工作的朋友往东沙群島潜水，也因此其中一位永远回不了家。。。。。。
善泳者溺。。。。老手们更加要注意
