How to ride this unicycle
Alright. Now we can start riding this unicycle. First thing to remember before riding is safety and care. We recommend the usage of bicycle safety a advices, especially for the beginners. For safety, we recommend the bicycle helment at the minimum. However, for the beginner, elbow pads, gloves and knee pads should be worn.
Select level ground to start practicing. With the unicycle upright and steady, comfortably seat yourself with a slight lean to the rear, and re-check for free rotation of the carriage inside the rim by rocking back and forth several times.
At this point it is very much like riding a bicycle to get the unicycle moving, use your feet to get a rolling start to achieve balance before attempt to use the pedals.
Balancing the cycle will take a little practice. Practice in a straight line until you find balancing the cycle is a manageable task. Once balancing the cycle come with ease, turning will just simply require a slight shift of your center of gravity like riding a bicycle.
You can turn the cycle simply by slightly shifting your upper body in the direction of the desired turn.
When using the brake, apply pressure slowly. Pump the brake lightly and repeatly to stop, to avoid coming to a sudden stop. If the unicycle appaly a sudden stop, your body may rotate upward and will cause the unicycle to fall over. It is best to let the unicycle coast to stop!
