1. 可以两本护照同时使用, 签证继续有效;
2. (推荐)可以申请replacement visa, 不是新的签证,而是按旧的签证有效期,另外重签一张给新护照。

Dear Sir/Madam:

Please be advised you have 2 choices:

1-You may travel and appear at the Canadian port of entry with both a valid passport and a valid Canadian visa. If you have renewed your passport since your visa was issued, you must carry both passports with you when you travel (the passport with the valid visa and the new passport).

2- You may apply for a replacement visa at the Beijing Office. Please be advised that we recommend the second choice. If you choose to do so please submit the following:

-The passport containing the valid Canadian Visa as well as your new passport.
- Payment for a replacement document: Certification and Replacement of Immigration Document, See:

http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/china-chine/visas/beijing-pekin/fees-frais.aspx?lang=eng.
- A letter explaining why you are applying for a replacement visa, containing your name, date of birth and clear contact details (telephone, email, and address in Chinese characters)
- For Lost Passports: A copy of the police report regarding the loss of your original passport and/or Canadian immigration document(s) including visa, study/work permit and/or travel document. Please include a copy of the lost immigration document if possible.

For Damaged Passports: The damaged passport and visa, study/work permit and/or travel document.

Please note: the visa validity date will only be issued up to the date of the initial visa being replaced.

There are three ways to submit a Replacement Visa application:

At the Visa Application Center
The Visa Applications Centres (VACs) are aimed at making the Canadian visa process more convenient for visa applicants in China. To submit your application, please visit one of the Visa Application Centres (VAC) operating in China. The Visa application Centres are open Monday to Friday (excluding Embassy holidays) from 8am to 3pm. A fee will be charged for the use of the Visa Application Centre. Further details are available at www.vfs-canada.com.cn. All visa applications will continue to be assessed by visa officers at the Canadian Embassy in Beijing.

By mail
If you live outside of Beijing, you may mail your application to our Embassy, we will change your visa and the application will then be mailed back to you. Please send the necessary documents which we require. Applications which are not fully completed or do not enclose required documents will normally be refused or returned.

In person
You may come in person to submit your visa replacement application on any Thursday between 8:00am-10:30am. Unless otherwise instructed by our receptionist, your visa will be ready in the same day. However, processing times at the Beijing Office may vary due to the level of applications. Our office does not offer an express service. Please make sure to notify our office of the time and date you intend to come in, you may notify us by email. Please make sure to include your name and date of birth when notifying us.

Yours sincerely,
