周四狂飙科帽线，吐血白山和龙背Rush Hike Kemao Line

连续十多天的绵绵细雨，宅得骨头发霉，肌肉僵硬。瞧见飞虎大哥在磨坊发帖召集非周末走科帽线，于是赶快报名参加。第一次参加飞虎哥和磨坊的正式活动，也不管组织者确认与否，已立下决心，只要不被赶就拉下老脸跟上。周三冒雨从芳村赶到天河，还在下雨，领导说不走，那当然就是不走，按计划第二天周四才走。
Continuous rainny days for more than 10 days, hikers are getting sick for locking in home for such a long time. On Doyouhike website I spoted a post by Flying Tiger calling for a hike of Kemao Line on the weekday from Ke(Academy) to Mao(Maofeng Mount—Guangzhou’s tallest peak), so I rushed to register to join in. It is my first time to join Flying Tiger and Doyouhike’s event, and I made up my mind that no matter approved or not, I would be no shame and join if I was not reject face to face. On Wednesday, it’s still rainning, according to plan, I rushed from Fangcun District to TianHe district, and the rain still going on there, the Leader Flying Tiger sent short message to postpone the event to Thursday. I certainly followed. Returned home on Wednesday and joined again on Thursday.

周四大早出发，地铁到天河客运站转车，顺利提前二十分钟到达科学院站下车。按指引过马路对面，却左看看右瞧瞧也没有公安制证中心。不相信有飞虎哥的指示还要问人，于是往龙洞方向走约一百米，看不见，再往回走，又向市区方向走一百多米到交通学校，还是不见。再回到车站，找个象上班样子的人问制证中心在哪。她巧手往市区方向一指，说‘在那边吧！’.于是再往市区方向走，过交通学校，过一个好像是汽车市场的地方，前望还是没有，都快八点了。急！！只能认孤陋寡闻打电话请教飞虎大哥。才知道是往龙洞方向的，公交车除了科学院站之外，往龙洞方向不远处还有一个大的停车站，那里他们叫做社科院站。
Early Thursday morning, by Metro to Tianghe Coach Terminal then by by bus, I rushed to Academy Bus Stop more than twenty miuute before gathering time. According to instruction, I crossed the road but could not find Certificate Manufacturing Center there. I don’t believe Flying Tiger’s instruction is not clear enough for me to arrive without asking for help, so I walked towards further to Longdong direction for about 100 meters and still I could not find that Center. So I rushed back towards the station and towards the city center direction for more than 100 meters again to reach Communication School, still I could not find that Center. So I rushed back to the Bus station and finded someone looks local and asked for the direction of that Center. She pointed her clean hand towards the city center direction and said ‘It’s over there’. So I walked towards the city center again, until I passed the Communication School and then reached and passed a Automobile Market. It was close to 8 AM, the final gathering time then. I got nut and admited my inability and rang Flying Tiger for help. By then I got to know it’s on the further side towards Longdong direction. Beside Accademy Bus Station, not far further there’s another bus station and they called it Social Academy Bus Station. That center is just there.

于是告诉飞虎大哥我早到的，走错方向了，要部队一定等一下。一路急走，赶到集合点时已是满头大汗。驴友问为何，我说已经驴了好几里。
So I told Flying Tiger that I had been arround long time ago but was directed towards the wrong direction and required them to wait for me. I rushed to the gathering point and when I reached I was already sweating. Hikingmates asked me why, I told them I already hiked quite some miles.
唉，TMD,在中国这种事情都被社会科学糊弄一下。难怪水稻亩产一万斤也有植物学家出面用光合作用理论证明，鸟类学家也要拿竹竿打麻雀。
Damed world, in China, we were even fucked on such things by Social Accademy. No matter we had plant Botonist to prove by photosynthesis that Ten Tons Rice Yield Per Mu was capable and famous Ornithologist had to kill birds by bamboo stick.

待所有驴友都到齐后我们从公安制证中心背后的山脊上山，先经过几个乱坟堆后在风水位最好处见一巨坟墓。原来那是中国航空先驱，广东航校校长胡汉贤的坟墓。
After all gathered, we got onto the ridge by the side of Certificate Manufacturing Center. We passed a few tombs, and then on the best location, we saw a giant tomb. It was the Aviation Pioneer, former President of Guangdong Aviation School Hu Han Xian.

胡汉贤是孙中山的追随者，1884年出生于广东开平。而另一个国民党元老胡汉民则1879年出生于广东番禺，两者虽是同道同代好友，血缘并非近亲。
Mr. Hu Han Xian was a follower and fightingmate of Dr. Sun Yatsen. He was born in 1884 in Kaiping County in Guangdong Province. Another famous Dr. Sun Yatsen follower, Hu Han Min was born in 1879 in Panyu County in Guangdong Province. The two with brother style names and good friend at the same ages, but were not born to be relatives.

之后一直是爬坡路，在山脊上攀登。右边是龙洞森林公园，左边经过交通学校，射击场等地，位置好的地方可以瞭望沙太路两侧市区，远眺白云山美景。
Then it is continuous upwards ridge. On the right side, it’s Longdong Forest Park, and on the left side, we passed back side of Communication School, Shooting Field et al. On some good viewing spots, we could see the city views on the sides of Shatai Road, and over look the beautiful Baiyun Mount.

走过龙脊再前行，就到了采石场遗迹。有一定的年份，有一定规模，乱哄哄的，看来象是五十年代的杰作。
Further forwards after the ridge, it’s a stone mining field. It is big and looks old but just like chaos. Just like typical project of last fifties.

穿过采石场，在山脊上跨过华南快速之后，可以看到前方有若干山峰，最高峰上面有通讯塔的。我们翻越通讯塔旁边的山峰，下到对面的大源村，再从大源村背后很陡的山爬上山脊，走山脊往和龙水库方向走。大源村背后的山就够陡的了，谁知道上去后不是一直山脊到和龙水库的，而是要在几乎是最高点下降到谷底，下到谷底后过溪流对面是没路前行的，有的路是右拐往龙洞水库方向走的。往后退，在过溪流前就要左拐走百来米才过溪流，过溪流之后有路往山顶攀爬。据说那里是梯子岭，左右几乎一样的防火道。没有树木和老藤的帮助，上和下都是不可能的高陡度泥路.
After the Stone Mining Fiels, we passed South China Express Way by the ridge. Looking forwards, we saw a few peaks in lines with the tallest one built with a communication tower. We climed over and got down from the next peak of the Tower and reached Da Yuan village, and then climed up from the very steep ridge behind we climbed up the ridge again towards Longhe Reservior. The ridge behind Longhe village already very steep, and also out of our expection, the ridge does not reach Longhe Reservior direct, but turned to a valley site on the almost tallest spot. After getting to the bottom, there is no way to climb up on the other side. There is a way on the other side but turning right back towards Longdong Forest Park. We needed to return and then turned left immediately after getting down and walked for about 150 meters. From there we could cross the streamlet and then there is a road leading to another very steep muddy road for climbing up. It is said that is the Ladder Ridge. It is muddy and so steep that without trees and rattans, no one can climb there, upwards or downwards.

原计划是到和龙水库午饭的。过了这一难关之后已经是下午的一点多了，和龙的影子都还没见到。我们只能就此冲冲忙忙吃午饭了。之后还要爬坡，还要走很远的山脊才能下到和龙水库的。过了和龙水库后还要三穿高速路底，才能去到973线牛牯站附近时已经接近下午三点。在补充给水后才又从村背的白山上山走长长的上坡山脊去帽峰山。在补充供水和稍作歇息开始等白山时，已经是下午三点了。据说过白山山峰后还要下降很多，才攀登对面的帽峰山的。
We plannd to have lunch at Longhe Reservior. When we passed Ladder Ridge, it’s been later than 1PM, and we had no trace of Longhe Reservior. We had a rush lunch then. Then we had to climb up again and walked a long distance ridge to reach Longhe Reservior. After arriving Longhe Reserviour, we had to dive through 3 times the Expressway there, and it’s been almost 3PM when we reached the Line 973 Bus NiuGuLing stop. We filled up ourself by the village shop there and toke a short break. When we started to climb Baishan there, it’s been after 3PM. It is said that after Baishan, we need to get down and then climb up again for the Maofeng Peak.

凭直觉，如果登上通信塔那座山，顺山脊走大源水库的背后山缓慢下降到和龙水库尾巴那边，再上白山，或者直接山脊就能到帽峰山脚，这样走也许风景更好，自虐性稍少一些？
Just a direct sense, if we climbed up the tallest peak with Tower, then we could find a ridge direct leading towards the Dayuan Reservior back side and by passing the ridge there maybe we could reach and climb Baishan, even we could direct climb Maofeng Peak. Maybe this rounte could have more viewing pleasure and less hardship?

在过完梯子岭午餐时，领导就可能开始担心走不完全程了。于是开始了个别战士的劝退工作。有个傍晚有事的强驴和一个状态欠佳，大早就要别人帮背行军囊的驴友爽快地答应提早下撤了。我呢，只要有可能就不愿认输的坏性格，当然希望自己能不掉队走完全程。领导向我介绍了和龙水库半岛的优美风光，并明确说在半岛观光一小时再坐973车回城对我来说是个理想的选择。
After the Ladder Ridge, our leader began to worry that we could not finish the trip. So he began to convince some indivituals to withdraw. A hikingmate not at good statue and a stronge hikingmate who had apointment at the evening promptely agree to withdraw. To me, I had a Insist On If Possbile mind set, certainly did not want to withdraw. Our leader introduced to me the beautiness of Longhe Reservior and the Pininsular Sights there, and frankly told me that it’s a good option for me to do one hour signtseeing there and then return city center by bus 973.

我呢，也明确向领导表态，非常不愿意自己的驴行一役以失败告终，并明确说以自己的经验，一定不会连累驴友帮背书包，最多就速度慢点而已。如果自己落后拖累了行军的速度，自己是愿意下山或回城后请全体驴友喝啤酒的。午餐后只有个别小的上坡，这一路一直到下到山脚，我都是跟着前锋走在前面第一第二的位置的。
I made myself clear to the leader too. I don’t like a failure hiking. I also told our leader that by my experience I gurantee that I would not need someone else to carry my bag. The worst case would be I hiked at the last position at a slower speed. In that case, I would be happy to invite the whole team for beer after end of the hiking. After lunch there’s only some upward ridge. I was always on the leading or second position before we reached Longhe Reservior at the bottom.

在补偿供水稍作休息后登白山时，我是满心欢喜的。还特意买了红牛，以作四五点钟艰难时刻补充能量之用。一直在山脊上往上走了二十多分钟之后到达白石堆处，我要尿尿，只能等部队都走了才方便。一直担心能否走到终点并十分关心队友状况的领导以为我走不动了，在前面远方询问我什么回事。我连忙告知实情并赶快小跑跟上。
I was still quite happpy when started to climb Baishan again after filling up. I specially prepared Hongniu tonic drink in case of need at about 4 or 5PM. Walking upwards on Baishan Ridge for more than 20 minutes, then we reached a spot with plenty of Baishi(White Stones), I needed to piss off so I had to wait the team off before doing so. Our leader is kind enough and careful enough, and he immediately noticed that I was left behind and asked if I was OK. I told him the fact and told him I was OK. To prove so, I rushed to run back to the team on the upwards ridge.

那里还是斜斜的上坡山脊，这一急走，我大腿肌肉居然紧张了，好像要抽筋的样子，赶快去按揉几下。在前面等候的领导看见了，仿佛仅剩的半打战驴又出现一个伤员，那走完全程绝对是不可能的了。我已经赶快解释，是肌肉紧张一下，没抽筋。
After such a rush run upwards, the tissue of my leg suddenly shrinked and seems the tendon was going to break. I had to rub my leg to release the tension. Seeing so, our leader seems seeing another injury among the only 6 member team. If so, it would be definitely no way to reach the top of Maofeng Peak. I rushed to explain that it’s a sudden tension only, not tendon break yet.

但是，领导那里还是传来了我非常害怕的劝诫，老乔，你还是趁早回头下山坐车吧,好吗？
But too bad, still a kind advise came from our leader, Old Qiao, better for you to return to the bottom and take the bus from here, OK?

对我，这是军令了。
To me, it is an order.

我是一万个不愿意的，但我还是答，好的，你们赶路吧，我歇会就回头下山坐车。
I was totally unwilling, but I had to agree and responed, OK, you go ahead, I will go back to the bottom for the bus after a short break here.

我零八年四月26号初驴，五月一日就随老八路带领的驴队登‘天姥连天向天横，势拨五岳倾赤城’的天姥山。那次才走了半个多小时，我就被憋得主动和同车的队友说，你们继续吧，我不行了，我回头到斑竹村等你们登顶回来。领队的老八路听完回报，看看情况，居然说走错路了，三四十人的驴队前队变后队，后队变前队往山下走了，然后换了一条比较缓慢的山路继续登山。那次后来，我居然不再提出后撤，顺利登顶天姥山最高峰北斗尖。
My first hike was on April 26 in 2008. On May First my second hike I followed Laobalu’s hiking team to climb Tian Mu Mountain as discribed by Tang Dynasty Poet Libai as ‘Tian Mu Mount is lined up and linked with the sky. Seems it wants to pull five Yues towards Chicheng Mount’. Not long after half an hour, I was so tired that I told my hikingmates sharring the same car that I could not go on and would return to Banzhu village to wait for their return. Afer hearing the report, Laobalu decided and made announcement that we were on the wrong route and the whole team with about 40 members made a backwards turn and walked dowards and then turned to another not so steep route to continue the hike. After the dowward break, I kept myself up and never asked for withdraw again. We reached the Beidou Peak, the tallest point of Tian Mu Mount that day.

之后的数年驴子生涯，我没有掉队过，包括上年一天翻越安吉的龙王山和临安的西天目山和上月的46公里丹霞山穿越。
For some years hiking since then, I never withdraw, including last year hiking through from Longwang Mount in Anji County to West Tian Mu Mount in Linan County and last month’s 46Km Hiking in Danxia Mount.

当然有一次是例外。在东阳县赏完蔡宅古村后绕虎山和鹿山转一圈。我带去的初驴省体不适要在虎山后撤，我只能陪他后退下撤了。
Certainly there is one exception. In Dongyang County we hiked aroud Tiger Mount and Dear Mount after visiting to Cai Zhai old village. The new hikingmate I brought to the trip was sick and needed to withdraw from Tiger Mount, I had to follow and assist him to withdraw.

这真是一次久盼的吐血之驴。
This is a real long expected failure hike.
