Connecting flights
From 1 Feb 2013, tigerconnect flights via Singapore Changi Airport with layovers of 8 hours or less will automatically include an airport transfer feature. With this feature, you may remain in the transit area of the airport and will not need a visa to enter Singapore. You will also not need to clear immigration, collect your baggage, nor check-in for your onward flight. For layovers of more than 8 hours, the airport transfer feature is optional.

符合以下标准并持有有效机票，以及在96小时内离境的中国和印度国籍公民从所属国或其他国飞抵新加坡转机可享受96小时、免签证专机设施（VFTF）：
持有以下国家签发的有效签证/长期逗留签证（至少1个月）：
澳大利亚
加拿大
日本
新西兰
英国
美国
德国
瑞士
在旅行返程途中过境新加坡时，由以上国家签发的单次旅行签证(SJV)可以被用来申请免签证入境新加坡事宜（VFTF）。但需满足以下条件：
(a) 旅客直接从发放SJV签证的国家出发，过境经过新加坡，而后直接返回游客所属国；并且
(b)旅客在该单次旅行签证（SJV）上次使用过后，尚未回到其所属国
我没有这些国家的签证。
虎航不提供转机服务。即使是联程机票也要办新加坡过境签。
新加坡的签证还算容易，过境签价格也是一样的30新元。去就近的领事馆办理吧。

新加坡没有过境签证，只有签证和过境免签。楼上有人误导了。一般来说，新加坡签证是多次往返的，至少3个月多次。所以不存在两次过境需要多花钱的问题。
过境免签不适用于廉航，本人亲身经历。不怕死的可以试试，部分人说他们是可以的。
