SZ annual 100km hike was planed on the 23rd and 24th of March,2013. Theme of SZ 100km in 2013 year is ‘leave no trace behind you’ (that means don’t throw rubbish when you past) it was organized by outdoor company called Mofang(www.doyouhike.com). Mofang values’DIY traveling’ and this event is an example of this. Nobody helps you organize your supplies, such as water, clothes, shoes, food, etc. the organizing committee just offers route guidance and emergency response for hiking injuries. Over thirty thousand people were hiking this year. All of them were brought together by Mofang.
The 2013 SZ 100km hiking event started from Shenzhenwan gym and finished at Rose Beach. The total hike was 94.5km, while the inexperienced participants hiked only 30km, you have 24 hours to finish the course of 94.5km and 8 hours for 30km. there were six check points along the course to record your progress. It was recorded by registered volunteers and at every intersection had at least one volunteer giving direction. Some volunteers took photos of your memorable moments. The best exciting is free Red Bull you can drink in every checking point.In the end, reporters say that over 2000 hikers finished the whole course. The fastest hiker took only 15 hours to complete the course. He is my hero.
