蝽象

蝽象属昆虫纲半翅目科（Pentatomidae ； stinkbug） 昆虫的总称。

此类昆虫有臭腺孔，能分泌臭液，在空气中挥发成臭气，所以又有放屁虫、臭板虫、臭大姐等俗名。中国已知约 500 种。多数种类植食性。成虫、若虫将针状口器插入嫩枝、幼茎、花果和叶片组织内，吸食汁液，造成植株生长缓滞，枝叶萎缩，甚至花果脱落；小部分种类是肉食性，以鳞翅目、鞘翅目的幼虫和同翅目的成虫与若虫为猎捕对象。

中国常见的种类如稻黑蝽、稻褐蝽、稻绿蝽、稻小赤曼蝽，主要为害水稻；荔蝽、硕蝽、麻皮蝽、茶翅蝽，主要为害果树；菜蝽、短角瓜蝽、细角瓜蝽，主要为害瓜、菜；另外，如蠋蝽、疣蝽、厉蝽等，则以猎捕其他软体昆虫为食。

Originally found in East Asia, Stink bugs were not even reported in the United States until the late 1990’s! They get their name because release an unpleasant odor when you crush them or when they are protecting their homes.
