A few words: The introduction of Four Girls Mountains in southwestern China
Hello! I am Kenzo Okawa, working for Four Girls Mountains Nature Reserve Management Bureau in China.
My activity is the photography and the nature protection in Nature Reserve.
Another name of Four Girls Mountains is Siguniangshan, or Siguniang Mountains. These have the same meaning.
Name of originally and the Tibetan is Sukola (notation is not strict). This means four sisters.
Four Girls Mountains is around 31 degrees of north latitude, 103 degrees of east longitude in southwestern China.
This area is in the east part on the Trans Himalayas which is called the treasury of the gene.
It is at the east end of the Tibetan cultural sphere, too. The highest peak in this area is Four Girls Mountain (6250m). It is a divine mountain in Tibet region.
A lot of flower of alpine plants blooms in the steep and complicated landform with glacial origin.
Four Girls Mountains is said to that it is the goddess on the mountains in southwestern China.
However, in recent years, the tourist increases rapidly and the nature protection becomes a big problem.
